Mine Dewatering

Burke, ID.   •   $15 Million value

The client to reopen the lower portion of the mine below the 2000 Level, which has been closed since 1983. To achieve this, it needs to dewater the mine below that point. The client plans to dewater the mine to the lowest level (8100 Level).

Dewatering to such a depth creates unique and challenging conditions, such as pumping slurry under high pressures concurrently with shaft repair work. Traylor Mining, LLC provided a scoping study containing a complete engineering, cost, and schedule outline.
