Project Win! Sterling Highway CM/GC

The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has selected the Colaska/QAP-Traylor Joint Venture to execute the Sterling Highway MP 45-60 Sunrise to Skilak Lake Road Reconstruction CM/GC Project (Sterling Highway Project).

The Sterling Highway Project provides a long-awaited solution to a heavily congested segment of the Sterling Highway in the greater Cooper Landing area in Southcentral Alaska. It includes reconstruction of the existing highway at each end of the project area and construction of approximately 10 miles of new alignment including a new bridge across Juneau Creek Canyon, updating the roadway to current standards while improving safety and level of service. The joint venture will provide both Pre-Construction and Construction services. Traylor will be responsible for construction of the Juneau Creek Bridge.

Stage I Pre-Construction begins immediately, with the intent to be ready to begin Stage II Bridge Construction in the spring of 2023.
