The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) has awarded Traylor, as part of the Louisiana Diversion Company (LDC) joint venture, the Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) Contractor Services for the Mid-Breton Sediment Diversion Project.
The work entails construction of a river intake control structure through the Mississippi River & Tributaries levee. When complete, it will divert sediment-laden water from the Mississippi River to the Mid-Breton Sound Basin to deliver sediment, fresh water, and nutrients to reduce land loss and sustain wetlands. The joint venture will provide input into how the various project elements could be built, and assess cost, schedule, constructability, and risk impacts of project alternatives to enable the project team to select optimal solutions to positively affect the outcome of the project.
Traylor will lend our expertise in large-scale marine construction to the project. This critical win opens the door to Traylor becoming a key alternative delivery provider in the industry.
