LPV 145 Construction of T-Wall

The project entailed construction of a new T-wall to elevations varying from 32.0 to 29.0. The will tied in to the IHNC Lake Borgne Barrier on the northeast at approximate station 397+80.

The Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) procurement method was utilized for preconstruction services with options to perform test pile program and construct 30,300 linear feet of a T-wall floodwall on top of existing earthen levee from Bayou Bienvenue to Bayou Dupre, St. Bernard Parish, LA.The levee system is an essential component of the New Orleans Hurricane StormDamage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS) in St. Bernard Parish.

LPV 145 is a levee segment located between Lake Borgne Barrier (Bayou Bienvenue) and LPV-144 (Bayou Dupre), approximately 30,300 linear feet. The existing levee is approximately El. 18.5 and was constructed as part of the Task Force Guardian. The reach included five gas pipelines that required relocation.
