I-10, Main Span Bridges Over Lake Pontchartrain (tbi0608)
Slidell, LA
Construction began January 2007 for 1.1 miles of new, twin bridges composed of driven 36" square piles, bent caps, waterline footings, columns and pier caps, BT-78 precast concrete girders, structural steel mainspans & poured in place deck.
Through March 2010:
Piling: All bent and pier pile have been driven (1056).
Footings: All 32 footings have been poured.
Crashwalls: All 32 crashwalls have been poured.
Columns: All 64 columns have been poured.
Pier Caps: All 32 pier caps have been poured.
Bent Caps: All 50 bent caps have been poured.
BT-78 Beams: All 76 spans have been set in place.
Structural Steel: All westbound and eastbound spans have been set.
Decks: All 81 deck spans have been poured.
