On June 27. 2007 Massman Construction Co., Traylor Bros., Inc., and IHI, Inc. a Joint Venture, was read as low bidder by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) for Phase III of the Huey P. Long Bridge Widening project.  Phase III consists of the fabrication and erection of structural steel for widening both sides of the existing truss spans.
