Mesa Prestressed Concrete (tbi0399 and tbi0607)

In 2003 Traylor Bros., Inc. reopened its precast yard in Houston, TX to provide prestressed girders, deck panels, and piling for the Galveston Causeway Bridge Replacement.

Before 2003, the casting yard was in operation between 1994 and 1997 supplying precast and prestressed components to various bridge projects in the Houston Metro Area. Our goal is to become a prominent precast/prestressed concrete manufacturer in the Houston and Gulf Coast Areas.
Since the 2003 reopening, Mesa Prestressed Concrete is well on its way of achieving this goal, and has successfully produced precast/prestressed products for several projects along the Upper Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast.  Between 1994 and 1997, we supplied over 170,000 LF of bridge girders, 1 million SF of deck panels and 100,000 LF of 16 in. prestressed piling to 3 different projects.  Since reopening in 2003, we have produced over 110,000 LF of Type VI girders, 790,000 SF of deck panels, 190,000 LF of 16 in. prestressed piling and over 50 precast caps from 40 to 90 tons each.
Mesa Prestressed Concrete’s facility is located on approximately 102 acres inside of Beltway 8 in Houston, TX. The facilities are equipped with a double 440 ft-16 in. square self stressing piling bed, two 4 in. thick self-stressing deck panel beds 8 ft wide by 320 ft in length, three beam beds at 425 ft in length and ample room for large precast projects. Concrete is provided by an Erie Strayer Central Mix Plant with a 6 cy mixer capable of producing up to 130 cy per hour. We continuously seek to improve our productivity, quality, and safety, and embrace new ideas and technology to achieve these goals.
