 Traylor Bros. received the 2009 Family Friendly Health and Benefit Programs Award on October 1, 2009. The Evansville-Area Human Resource Association, in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana, handed out awards at the 10th annual Diversity & Family Friendly Practices Awards breakfast to area businesses recognized for exemplary hiring practices that embrace diversity and family friendly practices.

The Missouri Safe and Sound Project is a design build contract recently acquired by the joint venture of Kiewit Western Co., Traylor Bros., Inc. and United Contractors, Inc., KTU Constructors. HNTB Corporation, with help from the LPA Group, will provide the design services for KTU.

The September 2009 issue of Engineering News-Record ranks Traylor at #7 in the Top 10 in Sanitary and Storm Sewers; #8 in the Top 10 Transmission Lines and Aqueducts; #9 in the Top 15 in Sewerage and Solid Waste; and #10 in the Top 25 Bridge Contractors.
